  • Experience Levels

    • Private, Semi-Private, Mat: Everyone welcome including novice to advanced, teen to elderly, perinatal, & rehabilitation

    • Group Reformer Classes: We recommend prior Pilates experience. Newbies can get their feet wet (or shall we say, get their feet in straps) with a few private or semi-private sessions first

  • Attire

    • Comfortable workout clothes and grip socks. Bring water!

    • You can choose to go barefoot for Mat Classes & Private / Semi-Privates.

  • Methods

    • Equipment: Customized sessions utilizing various Pilates apparatus: Reformer, Chair, Spine Corrector aka Step Barrel, etc.

    • Mat: The “crown jewel” of Pilates. Principles of control, balance, precision emphasized throughout matwork exercises.

    • Props: Too many to list :D. Paula is trained in all apparatus and accessories including jumpboard aka rebounder, box, ball, pole, ring aka Magic Circle, leg weights, hand weights, resistance bands, BOSU trainer, foam roller, glider discs, and more…

    • Many (most!) sessions combine both equipment and mat (+ props!) exercises based on clients’ goals and preferences

  • Your Trainer: Paula is a Pilates Instructor and has completed BASI comprehensive teacher training in mat + apparatus Pilates (reformer, cadillac, chair, etc) and written exams. Paula is a board-certified health coach (NBC-HWC) and holds certs in personal training (CPT), group fitness (GFI),  & behavior change (BCS). She’s also a health & wellness nut with a master’s degree in Public Health from Cal (Go Bears!)

  • Benefits: Pilates is FUN, effective, and safe! Improve strength, range of motion, balance and coordination. If you’d like to break a sweat, we can make that happen too :D. Pilates is also excellent for rehabilitation after injury or surgery, as well as during pre- and postnatal periods.
